This is a book about a young bat newborn named Shade from the Silverwing colony. When the roost of the silverwing colony gets burnt down, and the silverwings journey south to Hibernaculum for the winter, Shade gets blown away in a fierce storm and must find his way to Hibernaculum, while evading two evil jungle bats and only with his mother's sound map and a lifelong friend that he meets along the way. It is a good read that I would highly recomend and I read alot.
